Rev. Dr. Michael E. Scott, Jr., is a humble and gifted man of God chosen to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His leadership style and genuine love for people enable him to connect with individuals of all ages and stages of life.

 

As a native of Eudora, Arkansas, Dr. Scott is a 2002 honor graduate of Eudora High School. He continued his post-secondary education and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science and a Doctoral Degree in Chiropractic Medicine.

 

Dr. Scott embraced his calling at the young age of 6 as he began preaching services for insects. He officially answered the call to preach the Gospel in March 2002, at 17, and was licensed and ordained by Reverend James Handie, Sr., Pastor of Bloomy Shade Missionary Baptist Church of Eudora.

 

Dr. Scott served as Pastor of Greater Progressive Missionary Baptist Church (St. Louis, MO) before his election as Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Creve Coeur (St. Louis, MO) on

May 9, 2016. He was officially installed on August 14, 2016, and is now entering his 9th year of Pastoral leadership at the First Baptist Church of Creve Coeur.

 

Dr. Scott believes in the mind, body, and spirit connection of both the individual and the community and works to bring them into healthy communion. He teaches the importance of “Developing Disciples Daily,” founded upon the following principles: Worship, Mission, Education, Stewardship, and Fellowship. Dr. Scott loves God, His Word, and His people. It is his desire to be a voice for God.  

 

Another one of Dr. Scott’s proudest accomplishments is his family. He continues to lead his family under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, understanding the great responsibility he has been given to stay rooted and preach the Gospel.
